A pass in +2 examinations.
B.Sc. Mathematics
A Pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board or some other Board accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto with Mathematics (other than Business Mathematics) as one of the subjects.
B.Sc Microbiology
A candidate who has passed higher secondary examination in any one of the Biological sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biology). (Academic/Vocational stream - Agri, Home Science, Poultry) under higher secondary board of examination, Tamil Nadu or as per norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an examination accepted as Equivalent thereto by the Syndicate.
B.Sc. Biotechnology
A candidate who has passed higher secondary examination in any one of the Biological sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biology). (Academic/Vocational stream - Agri, Home Science, Poultry) under higher secondary board of examination, Tamil Nadu or as per norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an examination accepted as Equivalent thereto by the Syndicate.
B.Sc. BioChemistry
A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board or an examination other state board accepted. A pass in +2 passed with Chemistry as compulsory subject and studied Botany and Zoology or Biology shall be eligible for admission for B.Sc., Biochemistry.
M.Sc. Mathematics
A candidate who has passed B.Sc., Mathematics / B.Sc., Mathematics (Computer Applications) degree of this University or any of the above degree of any other University accepted by the Syndicate equivalent thereto, subject to such condition as may be prescribed therefore are eligible for admission to M.Sc., Degree Programme and shall be permitted to appear and qualify for the Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree Examination in Mathematics & Mathematics (CA) of this University.
M.Sc.Microbiology
Candidate who has passed the B.Sc. degree in any Life Sciences[Microbiology / Applied Microbiology/Industrial Microbiology/Botany/Plant Sciences and Plant Biotechnology / Zoology / Animal Science/Applied Animal Science and Animal Biotechnology / Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Biology/Food Science & Nutrition/ Nutrition and Dietetics /B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology / BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/Chemistry with Botany/Zoology]as Allied Subjects of this University or an Examination of any other University accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent there to shall be eligible for admission to M.Sc. Degree Course in Applied Microbiology. Candidate shall be admitted to the examination only if he/she has taken the qualifying degree in Science/Medical subjects as mentioned after having completed the prescribed courses consisting of twelve years of study and has passed the qualifying examination.

M.Sc. Biotechnology
A candidate who has passed a Bachelor degree in Science with Biotechnology / Botany / Zoology / Biology / Microbiology / Microbial Gene technology / Bioinstrumentation / Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Agriculture / Marine Biology / Home Science / Farm Science / Nutrition and Dietetics / Integrated Biology / Plant Science / Animal Science / Fisheries Science / Aquaculture / Mathematics with Physics, Chemistry as Ancillary / Medical Lab Technology / MBBS / BDS / B. Pharm / BSMS of this University or any of the above degree of any other University accepted by syndicates as equivalent thereto, subject to such conditions as may prescribed therefore shall be permitted to appear and qualify for the M. Sc., Biotechnology Degree Examination of this University after a course of study of two academic years.
M.Sc. Computer Science
A candidate who has passed in B.Sc. Computer Science / B.C.A / B.Sc. Computer Technology / B.Sc. Information Science / B.Sc. Information Technology degree of this University or any of the degree of any other University accepted by the syndicate as equivalent thereto subject to such conditions as may be prescribed therefore shall be permitted to appear and qualify for the M.Sc. Computer Science degree examination of this University after a course of study of two academic years.
M.A. English
B.A., English or B.Lit., (or) any degree with English as Part II Language.
M.Sc. Biochemistry
A candidate who has passed B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology or an Equivalent B, Sc. Examination in Bachelor in Medical / Clinical Laboratory Technology Course or some other B.Sc. board equivalence submitted by the respective University may be accepted by the syndicate as equivalent there to with Biochemistry shall be eligible for admission into M.Sc., coursein Biochemistry.
